Monsta X
MONSTA X is a seven-headed South Korean boy band consisting of the two rappers Jooheon and I.M as well as the singers Wonho, Kihyun, Shownu, Minhyuk and Hyungwon. Together they won the Korean reality show "No.Mercy". The very popular concept of the show consists of a weekly selection of candidates for a band by an audience and a jury until a final line-up stands.
They celebrated their mini debut album "Trespass" on the 14th of May in 2015.
Since then the group has been going uphill! With several successful albums, world tours and numerous awards, MONSTA X has become one of the main protagonists of K-Pop. Their vocal talent, brilliant choreographies and a unique mix of hip-hop, electro-dance and pop have convinced next to an Asian audience, fans worldwide, who are so-called "Monbebe".
In February 2019 MONSTA X released their third album "Take.2 WE ARE HERE", with the mega hit "Alligator". After the release the title was streamed more than ten million times within the first 72 hours. Together with their new album, the band will go on their third world tour in 2019. And will only stop in a few selected European capitals. So far only one exclusive concert in Berlin was planned in Germany. Their first appearance ever in Southern Germany will be on the 28th of September 2019 in Mannheim. The Korean Boygroup will perform for the first time at the FINGER HEART FESTIVAL.
Cosmic Girls
COSMIC GIRLS (also called WJSN) is a girl group with ten South Korean and three Chinese members. At the end of 2015, Starship and Yuehua Entertainment announced the formation of the largest active girl group at the time. On the 25th of February 2016 the COSMIC GIRLS celebrated their debut with their first mini album "Would You Like? In the beginning the group had 12 members, in July 2016 Yeonjung joined the band and completed the COSMIC GIRLS. The Girlgroup consists of four units of singers, dancers and rappers: the "Wonder Unit" with Bona, Cheng Xiao and Dayoung; the "Joy Unit" with Xuan Yi, Eunseo and Yeoreum; the "Sweet Unit" with Seol A, Soobin and bandleader Exy; and the "Natural Unit" with Luda, Dawon, Yeonjung and Mei Qi.
Their debut was followed by their first solo concert in Seoul, numerous show appearances, several Korean Entertainment Arts Awards as well as the first placement in the Billboard Charts with the mini album "The Secret" (Release: 17.08.2016). In 2017 their first studio album "Happy Moment" was released, which entered the South Korean Gaon album charts directly at number three. In 2018 the band members Mei Qi and Xuan Yi took part in the Chinese casting show "Produce 101" and won. To the delight of the Chinese and Korean fan community they are now part of the newly formed Chinese band ROCKET GIRLS and the COSMIC GIRLS. And the success of the COSMIC GIRLS continues: The EP "WJ Please? (Release: 19.09.2018) climbed to third place in the South Korean Gaon Album Charts and reached 14th place in the Billboard Charts (category World Albums). Most recently, WJSN released the EP "WJ Stay? (release 08.01.2019) and reached second place in the Gaon Album Charts. Their brand new album "For the Summer" was released on the 04th of June 2019. The CSOMIC GIRLS will perform for the first time in front of a German audience at the FINGER HEART Festival.
KARD
KARD is a South Korean band founded in 2016 by DSP Media. The band name stands for King, Ace, JokeR and HiDden. The addition of a fifth "hidden member" distinguishes KARD from other K-Pop bands. This person does not belong to the band and only sings certain songs which varies from song to song. The core band consists of Jeon Somin and Jeon Jiwoo the two female members and J.seph and BM as two male members.
KARD celebrated their debut on the 19th of July 2017 with the EP "Hola Hola". The US American billboard magazine already voted KARD among the top 5 promising K-Pop newcomers of the year in January of 2017. Their first tour called "Wild KARD" took the band to the USA in May/June 2017. In September 2017 KARD made their first stop in five European cities (London, Lisbon, Madrid, Milan and Rotterdam). The 2017 released single "Rumor" climbed to the first place on the iTunes K-Pop charts in 13 countries (including Brazil, USA, Argentina, Malaysia, New Zealand and Australia). Altogether three EPs of the band made it into the Top Ten of the Billboard Charts (category World Albums). KARD inspires a huge fan community in America and Europe! In 2019 especially the German fans can be happy, because KARD finally returns to Europe! After their performance in Düsseldorf in spring, the band will premier at the FINGER HEART FESTIVAL: with their very first concert in Southern Germany!
Jeong Sewoon
JEONG SEWOON, also called Ponyo by his fans, is a singer and songwriter from South Korea who had his first appearance in the third season of the casting show "K-Pop Star" in 2013. He made it to the first round of the finals and signed his contract on the famous K-Pop label Starship Entertainment already three months later. In 2017 the 22-year-old artist represented his label at the second season of the popular casting show "Produce 101" and was voted 12th in the final round. Shortly after he celebrated his official solo debut with the album "Ever" and the associated first title track "Just U". The song was downloaded more than 59,790 times within the first week. In early 2018, he released his second "mini-album" as a sequel to "Ever" named "After" along with the first title of the album "Baby It's U".
In 2017 JEONG SEWOON received the "Rising Star Award" at the second "Asian Artist Awards", at the "Soribada Best K-Music Awards” he won the "Best OST Award" with his title song for the South Korean TV series "What's Wrong with Secretary Kim?". In spring 2019 he played the role of Danny in the musical "Grease" in Seoul. His most recent album "±0 (Plus Minus Zero)", which JEONG SEWOON himself describes as a mix of his own sound blended in with the current trends in K-Pop, was released in March 2019. His latest song is the new ballad "When You Call My Name", which was released on July 28, 2019.
